The Importance of Internal Progress Meeting

It is like the internal progress meeting, it does not look good as a team as process do not know what mechanical/piping is up to, the instrument do not know what is their scope and electrical...
In Weekly internal meeting, though it takes a bit of time to do the planning but it's worth it because it will reduce the miss-communication, misunderstanding and mistakes in designs. For instance, i assume lots of things in my designs and my assumptions does not match other department assumptions. Put it in a more concrete way, i had assume that the venting stack is structural scope, however to my surprise, structural only responsible for the support only excluding the vent stack as it is the vendor who designs the vent stack.
My two cents ,in short, weekly meeting is a must for each individual project. If the times constraints once in two weeks would be good.
