The first i heard of this i did not know what is this all about. However the experience taught me that if you are transferring the redline markup to AUTOCAD format, so you just continue from C to C1. Alright, however if you are going to the site and doing some redline markup and transfer the modifications to the drawings in AUTOCAD format. That AS-Built is Revision Z.
So, if you still confused may be story can help to clarify this, when you transfer another company's products of redline to master drawings but that is not the end products as the client may want to compile all the drawing all together and AS-BUILT it all in one.

The Importance of Internal Progress Meeting
I learned the importance of progress meeting specifically internal meeting this week. You see, last week progress meeting with client. It is like the internal progress meeting, it does not look good as a team as process do not know what mechanical/piping is up to, the instrument do not know what is their scope and electrical...
In Weekly internal meeting, though it takes a bit of time to do the planning but it's worth it because it will reduce the miss-communication, misunderstanding and mistakes in designs. For instance, i assume lots of things in my designs and my assumptions does not match other department assumptions. Put it in a more concrete way, i had assume that the venting stack is structural scope, however to my surprise, structural only responsible for the support only excluding the vent stack as it is the vendor who designs the vent stack.
My two cents ,in short, weekly meeting is a must for each individual project. If the times constraints once in two weeks would be good.

Drawing Request
Funny though today learned how to request the simple procedure of requesting the drawing for any project's purpose may it be feasibility study, conceptual study, and detail design. So the recipe of getting a master drawing is like below:
1. First a for all, you get the master drawing list for structural for example. From the list, you can see how many structural drawing for the platform. And besides that, you can see the kinda drawing that you need not you want huh.
2. So after looking through the master drawing list, what we gonna do is to mark the drawing that you want.
3. If you want all also kinda, kind of kiasu and wasting lah.
4. The fill in the drawing no in the drawing requesition form and send it to client's document control.
5. The Client's Document control will send the product (Drawings) through Live link.
The base on the maps (drawings) you can start you journey (designing). Today message is a bit flat and boring but useful. HUHUHUH

Whole engineering vs Specific engineering
Yesterday, i have face a engineering dilemma. I'd like to have good grasps of my field before venture to other however, i have thought about it like whole food vs processed food. Whole food win my heart so i would like to do similar in engineering, look at the whole picture.
Look, what is the use of project code? Thought for a second, it is just like a barcode so in the end of the day, the next consultant who will want to find the project information (dwg) can just input the project code in the IT to find the information. Simple as that. It is usually request after site visit.
Sometimes you've thought in engineering field you can avoid interpersonal problems. You will be damn wrong because i also meet so far one arrogant and egoistic person with little knowledge and achievement but feel very proud. Like to point out others mistakes and weakness in order to show his own superiority. May be this behavior is caused by his own insecurity only God knows. The last time i meet this kind of personality is the katak who work in the Fast food but thought he has the power in the world. What is that you have? You only a waiter and work the ass all your life for money. Similarly with this guy in times right now. Dejavu, i guess.
